Presentation types

All presentation types are written in the same template.
  • Paper sessions consist of a presentation and a discussion of papers about ongoing or completed research projects. The time frame for each paper presentation is 25 minutes including the presentation (max. 20 mins) and discussion (approx. 5 mins). In each session, a maximum of three papers will be presented. The framing for the paper session should be max 200 words + the “Methods or methodology” and “Results or expected outcomes” of each 100 words max.

  • Poster sessions offer an opportunity to present a project visually, on a poster. Poster presenters should expect to meet participants during the poster session – in order to maximize interaction between participants and presenters. The framing of the Poster Presentations should be max 200 words + the “Methods or methodology” and “Results or expected outcomes” of each 100 words max. Posters are recommended to be A0 size. It is possible to supplement with af presentation on PC. The poster presenter is responsible for bringing their own poster to the conference and will hand it over to the organizers of the conference during check-in.

  • A symposium session is built on a theme and is proposed and planned by a symposium organizer. The symposium focuses on a common theme. A symposium has an organizer and one or more contributor(s). The symposium organizer will decide how the symposium is organized and the time allotment for each presentation. The total time of a symposium is 1,5 hours. The organizer of the symposium is responsible for submitting the symposium proposal including the following elements:

    • The title of the symposium and the included presentations (framing title first)
    • The organizer and contributor(s) of the symposium
    • A framing of the symposium, which should be max 200 words + a description of the organization of the symposium (does not count towards the 200 words).
    • The “Methods or methodology” and “Results or expected outcomes” (each max 100 words) must contain an overall description(s) regarding the theme of the symposium and the presentations.

It is recommended that at least two different countries/national perspectives are represented in the symposium, but this is not a requirement.

  • Workshops are intended to be interactive and collaborative sessions that aim to provide participants with hands-on learning experiences, practical skills, and in-depth discussions on a specific topic/theme presented by researchers, practitioners, or policymakers. A workshop session is for 45 minutes.

The organizer of the workshop should submit a workshop proposal including the following elements:

    • The title of the workshop
    • The organizer and contributors (if any) of the workshop
    • A framing of the workshop (200 words) including the purpose and the rationale of the session, a description of the presentation and a statement regarding audience involvement.
    • The “Methods or methodology” and “Results or expected outcomes” of each 100 words max.
